All Aboard..Christmas is coming

Since we decided to change the living room and dining room around (can't have furniture in front of registers) Billy stacked 2 small dressers in the 1 corner next to the Tree and I rearranged some of my train collection on it..even put 1 picture on the wall. I don't know which item I love the most ..I enjoy it all so much. Maybe some day I will be able to display all of my train collection This is a Tic Tac Toe game that my sister bought me about 8 years ago..I have never had the chance to play it but maybe someday soon :)

This is my Train Phone that I got in Branson in 2001 and when someone calls it sounds like a real train. Not real easy to talk on and I won't let anyone use it for fear of the little pieces on it getting broke.
This is truly one of my favorite things. My Dear Daughter (Nellie) bought this at a thrift store in Chicago and there is a button you push and the train goes around and makes sounds like a REAL TRAIN (Thank you Nellie..I love it)

This is a Railroad Lantern that belonged to my Grandfather and he died when I was 2 so I of course don't remember him but this is a nice memory that was his :) I will never get rid of my lantern no much how it is worth :)

This is an ornament that my Granddaughter Amanda bought for me 3 years ago. When it is closed it looks like a Big round Red Ornament and when you open it there is a little train that goes around and plays a Joy to the World and it is also a real treasure to me (Thank you Amanda)

My Friend Gina from Cat nap inn (Link on my left side bar..for some reason blogger won't let me post a link now) ..she has a really neat blog and she is such a sweetheart and made me these names on embroidery machine for me to sew on bath towels to make them an extra special gift for some friends. She was also sweet and sent my name which I did not sew on a new towell but put it on my favorite towell..no more worries about anyone else using my towel now :)

Finally got the Christmas Tree up and have some gifts under it for Nellie and Anndarie thinks it is a great spot to hang out. I just hope she doesn't think she is going home with Nellie :)

This is our 6ft prelit tree that I bought on clearance after Christmas 2 years ago. Most of our decorations are in storage down south but I did have the hand made ornaments from my friends in our group from when we did ornie swaps and they are a true treasure. I added some Candy Canes and rope garland from the good old $$$ tree and it does look very festive. Makes it seem more like Christmas even though the kids won't all come home this year. Nellie is coming the 23rd and we can spend time together baking cookies and maybe even hit a few stores and take her out to lunch when she gets off the train.

Not the best picture but you get the idea...I will take more pictures on Christmas and show in a new post after Christmas :)
