CARLIE "THE MIRACLE DOG" YES..A REAL MIRACLE!!!

I would like to introduce you all to Carlie..a real live 4 legged MIRACLE DOG...Looking up at his new Mom and you can just see how thankful he is to heve her and how much he Loves Her. Carlie was a rescue dog from a shelter and from what I understand he was found out in front of a lodge or something by a lady that worked there. It was the 4th of July and he was very scared from all the fireworks. No one knows how he got there but the lady that found him took him to a shelter and some of the employees where she worked took up a collection and came up with $200.00 for shots and other needs for Carlie.
My friend had been thinking a lot about getting a dog from the shelter and one day she went on line and she spotted "Carlie" and she just knew she had to have him. She sent her Daughter to the shelter and they said my friend Gayle had to come in person to fill out the papers. Well Gayle just had to make it clear to them that she could not come in person because of medical problems with clogged arteries in her legs and that she just wouldn't be able to adopt him. Well I think they knew how much she really wanted to adopt him and give him a forever Loving Home so they agreed to take the information over the phone. Well when Gayle saw how dirty he was she called the groomer and within 15 min Carlie was on his way to being groomed (fleas and ticks all gone )
You can tell he is just waiting so patiently for his new Mom (my friend Gayle) to put the leash on and take him for his walk that they take twice a day
Carlie is very well behaved and took to his new Mom and Dad right away
Here is Carlie going for one of his walks with Mom..They take a walk twice a day. You can tell by this picture that Carlie loves to go on his walks
Mom has had 4 surgerys this year and was supposed to have stints put in the veins in her legs. When she went for her check up they told her the veins were so bad that she would have to have bypass surgery...where they take a vein out of one leg to replace one in the other leg (or maybe it was arteries)
Of course we were all praying for Gayle that maybe some kind of Miracle would happen and she wouldn't have to go through surgery again.
Well after having Carlie a few weeks she had to go in for another check up and when the Dr put the stethascope (probably spelled that wrong but you know what I mean) on her leg he had a very surprized look on his face and asked her what she had been doing since the last visit that was different. She told him about Carlie and how she was taking him for a walk twice a day and he said WELL..Keep it up because I feel a pulse in your leg and you do not need the surgery.
Well Gayle was on a high the rest of the day trying to understand how this could happen.
Well I think I know how..Our Prayers were answered the first time by her going on line to look for a Dog for no real reason (God does work in mysterious ways some times) and then to think that this little Dog could make her mend just because he was so happy to have such a great forever home.
People think that Dogs can't talk or do a lot of things but I am a firm believer that God put Dogs (and Cats) on Earth for that very reason.
How many stories have you read like this..I have read pleanty and it always brings a big smile to my face.

Carlie was so excited when he found out that Dad (David) had this really cool Dune Buggy and Dad actually made a track in the yard way in back so he and Carlie could go riding..He would ride all day if Dad let him...Couldn't ask for a better copilot :)

Hey Mom..where are you??? Don't you want to take a ride? Guess she likes our walks better

Carlie is getting tired and he loves knowing he can take a break and rest when ever he wants
and feel safe.

Well..Now do you believe in Miracles??? I DO and I am sure in my mind that all Dogs (and even Cats) will be there for you if you just show them you care...The most Loyal friend anyone could ever have is his 4 legged one

Thank you for the story, Nancy. Carlie is amazing. When I went to the Vascular surgeon to schedule bypass on my legs, I had only had Carlie for 11 days. It's amazing how things work out.

What a lovely post Nancy, as you know I am a great lover of dogs, having 3 and to us they aren't just pets they are almost humanlike.

Carlie has at long last a warm and loving home to spend the rest of her natural life in and it seems she has done wonders for the health of her mom, your friend.

Thanks for sharing this heart warming story,
Warm Blessings
Karen

Carlie deserves this home with her new family! She is adorable and so happy for Gail that she is better. My Grand dog is a Delta Society dog and I am so proud of the happiness our animals give to us and others in need.

We shall cherish them and forever enjoy their time with us.
I love your story and thanks for sharing it with us.
Smiles, Cyndi
