PUPPIES LIKE RAIN BUT NOT GOOD FOR DADDY

This picture was taken at a little after 10 A M...But when Billy decided to take the puppies out to use the bathroom at 6 A M he said you couldn't even see any grass It really doesn't look like we had 6" of rain (thats what they said on the news)...But The Daddy of 2 big mixed labs that really got excited when they saw all that water and they must have thought we moved to lakeside property wasn't aware of their strength as a twosome
They both lunged to go and play in the water and he never expected them to do that and went right through this flower bed where you can see the pot that runneth over.
needless to say they pulled so hard that he fell over the little fence and wiped out..They usually take off if they get loose but this time they just went running through the huge puddles having fun

This is the fenced in area that used to be their play area until they figured out how to jump the fence

Calli wanted to let daddy know that she was sorry for him falling on his face in the mud and getting SOAKED and also hurting his ribs

He said if it wasn't for falling in a puddle with soft mud he would have been hurt more when the ground is rock hard.

Needless to say he will never take them both out on their leashes at the same time...especially right after it rains
and it is a good thing it is to wet to go near the garden..I think Daddy needs to take a break...don't you?

Oh my goodness. What a tumble. I'm glad to see Billy is okay and all is forgiven. We woke up to six inches of water flowing around our backyard and into our basement. The pumps were a buzzin'. Phew!

I bet next time he lets go of the leashes; I had a rescue dog I was trying to adopt pull me out of my sandels, so I had to return him. He was just too much for me. He did get a good home the next week so I was better about feeling so bad about it.

You have a beautiful place for them to play though, When the weather is better.
I am sure glad he was not hurt any worse!

Smiles, Cyndi

Hi Nancy:
So sorry to hear about Billy's accident. Hope he's healing and feeling better.

I'm just catching up on my blog reading, and couldn't forget to come and visit you, too!

Thanks for visiting Brynwood. Always glad to hear from you, my dear.
