This one was on the front of the movie theatre...How many small towns still have a Movie theatre? They are reasonable and have pretty good movies every week
This one was near a salon and I wonder if she likes how they did her hair?
I am not quite sure where this one was but looks to me like 2 young girls playing dress up. Do you remember playing dress up?
I think this just says something about the town and how even young Children want to keep it clean.
This is another one that is on the front of the building that is a Movie theatre. Kind of makes you want to go in with him to see the movie playing this week :)
This one is near a gym and work out type of business
This one shows another way for even the younger generation to have fun on a windy day like we have been having here in Central IL for a few weeks
Not as much to do in the town we live in..It is almost like a ghost town except for a Church and impliment business. The population in our town is "50" ...Yep thats right just 50 but never to far to find almost anything you might want to do. When you take a ride to one of the other towns near here you will see a lot of Corn Fields and Soy Bean fields and they are starting to harvest the field corn and the beans and to me that means the warm weather is over and winter is on the way. The winters are never quite as bad here in the Central part of the state like they are up North. To me Winter means I will have a lot more time to do some crafting...How about you? What are your plans to do this winter?

I just love the murals, Nancy. What an undertaking that was, and lots of thought went into it. My favorite was the girls playing dressup in the purple and red!!!
I was just talking about field corn. Wish I had some. When I lived in Virginia, I would walk over to the field and get as many ears as I could carry in my shirt and have it for supper. Most people really like the small, almost white, tender kernels of corn. Not me --- I like the big, chewy, very yellow kernels, dripping with butter, salt and pepper!!!! I'd be asking that farmer for some, for sure!!!!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing this!
We have about 100 ears of sweet corn in the freezer and you are right ...It is REALLY good..gave some to the 2 kids that came down and still have a lot left for the winter :)
Thanks for sharing the murals..amazing workmanship...so nice the town is not too far away....
any corn mazes out your way? did you hear about the family who called 911 when they couldn't find their way of a corn maze?...evidently the swat team came with search dogs..rather silly to discover that the family was only 25 ft. from the exit....
I love your murals, they sure show a lot of talent, esp. the details and variety. In the winter I walk, I love to see the snow on the trees, and I craft. Mostly I read, i love books!
Hi Nancy...I love looking for and taking pictures of murals in the small towns. These look three dimensional. Some look like you could actually run into them if you walked by. Someone very talented definitely painted them! Winter here will be just trying to stay dry from all the rain! :( ~~Annie
Good morning Nancy...what an interesting and entertaining post.
I love that a town of your size - on the small side - would take the initiative to do something this wonderful for the town. I commend them. It says a lot about the attitude of the town. Thanks for sharing Nancy.

These murals are amazing! Have fun creating! As for me, I have several outside gardens I will be creating now that the weather has cooled. I am in the process of writing my patterns for my book I hope to have completed by spring.......this and getting the models stitched will fill those cold dreary days. blessings,Kathleen
Nancy, those murals are very nice. Maybe the girls playing dress-up belong to the Red Hat Society. Corn sounds good.
