LESSON LEARNED

Be careful how you ues your CC or debit card when buying on line. I purchased something for $5.95 and after I got my computer fixed and went on line to my bank account I saw where someone had used it for a purchase for $81.03 and was through Fed X...Fed X will not help you at all if that happens and trying to call the fraud dept to report it is a real nightmare..took 3 day after being disconnected and asked for numbers that I do not have and is almost impossible to talk to a live person...just a voice telling you to press 1 then 2 then 1 and same thing over and over and then just disconnected.
I did finally get it taken care of but will NEVER buy anything on line where I have to give my banking info...Lesson Learned

That's awful!!! What is wrong with people?! I've had so go-rounds with Fed-X myself -- I call them "Fed Up" -- LOL -- I try to buy with PayPal but I'm not sure how safe that is, either...

That is awful, Nancy...I had trouble with an online purchase using PP, thought i was just buying a $2.00 CD and it turned into a $40.00 purchase I hadn't counted on but PP was really good and I was able to get a refund alright within 3 days....so PP is better, I think...now if I buy anything through them, they call me to make sure its ok...I'd rather have them do that than not care..

I used to have an account on Chase that generated virtual account numbers - credit card numbers that tied to my account but could only be used once, so, if harvested, they were useless to the harvesters. Don't bank with Chase anymore, so it would be nice if anyone knows of any other banks that do that. I'll have to do some research...
